Dark Spiced (38% ABV)

Dark Spiced

Description

We blend our white rum with our own special concoction of natural essences that include vanilla, papaya and tropical spice.

Produced using local spring water and molasses, bottled at 38% ABV.

Produced using local spring water and molasses sourced across the Indian Ocean. This is a blend of unaged column and pot still rum.

Tasting notes

Smooth top notes of local Seychelles spice, papaya, vanilla and caramel with tones of grass and dry oak underneath.

How to serve

Although you should feel free to sip this rich golden rum short and neat – or with cola for a long classic – it is best enjoyed horizontally, in a hammock. Best served with ginger, fresh citrus and fruit profiles.

Takamaka Punch

Ingredients

  • 40ml Dark Spiced
  • 70ml Rooibos Tea
  • 25ml Lemon Juice
  • 15ml MONIN Pineapple Fruit Mix
  • 10ml Gomme

Serving

Fill glass with ice, built and stir.Garnish with grated nutmeg and pineapple wheel

Rum Zenn

Description

Hints of vanilla, spice, and oak throughout the taste profile. Light vanilla sweetness on the nose.

Unaged rum, pressed with fines of oak wood from ex-bourbon casks, bottled at 40% ABV.

A beautifully crafted unaged rum that has been pressed with fines of oak wood from ex-bourbon casks, using Takamaka’s innovative technique of hydrodynamic cavitation. A blend of Pot & Column distillates, is put through hydrodynamic cavitation and then rested in large stainless steel tanks. This helps to soften the rum whilst enhancing its flavours.

Tasting notes

A light to medium body, fresh on the palate delivering notes of vanilla, toffee, dried apricot, and oak spice evolving on the finish.

How to serve

Best enjoyed in cocktails, can be used to tame your favorite classic cocktails with an added touch of complexity.

Peach El Presidente

Ingredients

  • 40 ml Takamaka Zenn
  • 20ml Cocchi Americano
  • 5ml Hibiscus Syrup
  • 2 Dashes of Peach Bitters

Serving

Add all ingredients into a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well-chilled, approximately 15–30 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.

Garnish with orange twist or dried peach slice. Serve straight up.

Blanc (40,2% ABV)

Rum Blanc

Description

A touch of high-ester pot still rum provides a soft, creamy character and natural aromatic undertones typical of this Indian Ocean island.

Unfiltered essence of Takamaka classic white rum, bottled at 40.2% ABV.

This is a column still molasses based rum distilled up to 94% and then diluted with pure island spring water to bottling strength.

Tasting notes

Soft and creamy character with aromatic vanilla undertones of tropical fruit and fresh grassy notes.

How to serve

This light, tropical rum mixes well in classics such as Mojito, Cuba Libre, Daiquiri or Piña Colada and is best in company of good friends.

Dry Daiquiri

Ingredients

  • 50ml Takamaka Blanc
  • 20ml Lime Juice
  • 10ml Sugar Syrup
  • 10ml Paragon Rue Berry
  • 7.5ml Campari

Serving

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice, shake well, strain into a glass with fresh ice. Garnish with dehydrated lime wheel.

Overproof (69% ABV)

Overproof

Description

Overproof rum delivers a powerful punch with spicy, warming notes, undertones of citrus and vanilla, and hints of banana and grass.

A blend of light and heavy high ester fruity rum, bottled at 69% ABV.

This is column still molasses based rum diluted with less water than Takamaka Rum Blanc to its bottle strength of 69%.

Tasting notes

A punch of spice and citrus, with vanilla, banana, and grassy notes evolving on the palate.

How to serve

Best enjoyed with care, it can be tamed with fresh lime and sugar or give your tropical fruit punch a considerable kick

Overproof Daiquiri

Ingredients

  • 40ml Takamaka Overproof
  • 25ml Lime Juice
  • 12.5ml Sugar Syrup

Serving

Chill a coupe with ice. In a Boston Shaker, add ice, Takamaka Rum Blanc, Takamaka Overproof, fresh lime juice, and sugar syrup. Shake with purpose until well blended. Discard the ice from the coupe and double strain the daiquiri.

Garnish with a fresh lime wheel.

Koko Rum Liqueur (25% ABV)

Crafted with Rum Blanc, bottled at 25% ABV.

Koko Rum is clean on the nose with vanilla notes and all the coconut you’d expect from the tropics.

How to serve

Perfect for tropical drinks and crafting cocktails.

Top it off with pineapple juice for a lazy Piña Colada or simply enjoy it on the rocks, near the sea.

  • 40ml Takamaka Koko
  • 90ml Pineapple Juice
  • Topped with Soda

Serving

Fill a Highball glass with ice and pour Takamaka Koko and pineapple juice. Top with Soda and garnish with a pineapple slice and a straw.

Mai Tai

Ingredients

  • 40ml Takamaka Rum Blanc
  • 10ml Takamaka Zannannan
  • 10ml Triple Sec
  • 30ml Fresh Lime Juice
  • 5ml Orgeat
  • 10ml Falernum

Serving

Chill a Rocks glass with ice. In a boston shaker, add ice, Takamaka Rum Blanc, Zannannan, triple sec, fresh lime juice, orgeat, and falernum. Seal the shaker and shake with purpose until well blended. Discard excess water from the rocks glass and double strain the cocktail.
Garnish with pineapple slices and fresh pineapple leaves.

Kreol Cask (40,3% ABV)

Kreol Cask

Description

Based on a unique combination of pot still and column still distillates, which are first matured in American bourbon barrels before being refined in an exclusive selection of French oak barrels. This double maturation gives the rum its complex structure and balance of fruit, wood and spice. With an alcohol content of 40.3% vol. and its natural, dark color, it shows the best of both worlds: the sun of the Seychelles and the depth of classic barrel maturation.

Tasting notes

Color: Dark amber with copper reflections.

Nose: Rich and aromatic with notes of vanilla, dried fruit, toffee, coconut and fine oak spice.

Taste: Full-bodied, smooth and harmonious with nuances of caramel, spices, dark chocolate and dried pineapple.

Finish: Elegant, round and long-lasting with notes of honey, vanilla and delicate wood structure.

How to serve

Kreol Cask unfolds its full complexity neat or on ice, where its aromatic depth comes into its own. It is also an ideal base for fine rum cocktails such as a Rum Old Fashioned or Espresso Rum Sour, in which its soft spiciness harmonizes perfectly.

Extra Noir (43% ABV)

Description

High ester funk and spicy elements from the French oak, notes of vanilla and sweet undertones from the ex-bourbon.

No sugar, non-chill filtered and bottled at 43% ABV.

Extra Noir is a blend of pot and column distilled molasses rum, soaked with French oak then pressed with both French and ex-bourbon wood. Finally, the rum settles in ex French cane rum casks for 60 days.

Tasting notes

A full bodied, punchy rum that retains some high ester funk and spicy elements from the French oak, and notes of vanilla and sweet undertones from the ex-bourbon. No sugar, non-chill filtered.

Dark & Stormy

Ingredients

  • 45 ml Extra Noir Rum
  • 30 ml Lime Juice
  • 30 ml Ginger Syrup
  • Topped with Soda

Serving

Fill glass with ice. Add 30ml Extra Noir. Top up with ginger beer. Finish with flair.

Zepis Kreol (43% ABV)

Zepis Kreol

Description

A spiced rum macerated with locally grown Seychelles cinnamon, nutmeg, four spice, and cloves, before pressing with ex Merlot French Oak Fines.

No colouring or artificial flavouring and bottled at 43% ABV non-filtered AV.

Zepis Kreol draws its character from both oak and local Seychelles spices. A blend of pot and column distilled molasses rum, macerated with locally grown natural spices before being pressed with ex-merlot wood fines. An 8 year old Bajan Foursquare rum added before finally letting it rest for 60 days inside very old ex-bourbon casks before bottling.

Tasting notes

A true depth of flavour with a rich oak character complimented by the local cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and quatre épices with just a hint of island sweetness. No colouring or artificial flavouring and bottled at 43% non-chill filtered ABV. A spiced rum of true Seychellois origin that can be served long or short but always pour over ice.

Mary Pickford

Ingredients

  • 40ml Zepis Kreol Rum
  • 30ml Pineapple Juice
  • 10ml Maraschino Liqueur
  • 5ml Grenadine

Serving

Chill a coupe glass with ice. In a Boston Shaker, add ice, Zepis Kreol, pineapple juice, Maraschino and grenadine. Seal, and shake with purpose until well blended. Dump the ice from the coupe glass and double strain the cocktail from the Boston Shaker in the glass.

Garnish with a fresh cherry.

Grankaz (51,6% ABV)

Grankaz

Description

Grankaz is a true Seychelles rum that reflects Takamaka’s mastery in the art of aging and blending. Distilled using the traditional pot-still method, this Seychelles sugar cane rum is aged in medium-toasted new French oak barrels and blended with Takamaka’s three-year-old molasses rum, aged in ex-bourbon barrels, and eight-year-old Foursquare molasses rum from Barbados.

Tasting notes

This rum has a herbal and slightly floral aroma with notes of roasted vanilla. The taste reveals silky and soft nuances of stewed fruit and butter caramel. Complex flavor nuances lead to a long and elegant finish, where roasted oak tones come to the fore.

Pti Lakaz (45.1% ABV)

Pti Lakaz

Description

Pti Lakaz is an honest testament of what can be achieved when cask ageing rum on Seychelles tropical island. Traditional pot distilled Seychelles cane rum from four different barrels – including two port casks – is blended with pot and column distilled molasses rum that’s been aged for three years in ex-bourbon, as well as an 8 year old Bajan Foursquare molasses rum. Bottled at 45.1% ABV with no colour or sugar added, and non-chill filtered.

Tasting notes

This rum is full of rich fruit, such as dried apricot with notes of star anise and dried cocoa beans building into a complex finish full of dry spice.
